On October 9 and 10, Propulsion Québec the Québec Office in Toronto, in partnership with APMA and WatCar, held a trade mission in Ontario promoting business opportunities and commercial exchanges between Ontario and Québec in the automotive sector. The Québec participants, Leddar Tech, Phantom Intelligence, Orange Traffic, Jakarto, INO and Opal RT,are leaders in their field and highlighted Québec’s expertise in driverless vehicle technologies.
A full program was developed for the participants during the two days. The first activity was a visit to the driverless vehicle test site in Stratford ON, where they were welcomed by Mayor Dan Mathieson. This was followed by business meetings in Waterloo with several key companies in the automobile sector, including Catalyst137, Escrypt and Acerta. The first day of the mission ended with a networking reception hosted by Québec to underline the cooperation between companies, associations and research centers from Québec and Ontario.
On October 10, the Québec participants attended the 2018 Auto Tech Symposium, which united 150 artificial intelligence specialists in the automobile sector. This event gave the Québec companies a unique chance to meet with several industry leaders.
